I love yellow. To me, it's cheery and fun and inspires creativity. That's why I decided to go with yellow on the walls of my office. Little did I know how tricky yellow paint is. The first three samples were oh so wrong, and finally we ended up going with paint that was actually more cream than yellow (I need to ask our builder the name of the color) but was exactly what I was looking for. I'm thinking of adding black and white accents to the room.
Here’s what I’m working with:
I recently ordered this desk that I’ve been eyeing for ages (Z Gallerie) and chair (Crate & Barrel):
And I have two of the cabinets (Crate & Barrel) from our old townhouse. The other one is taller and skinnier. Although it’s a media cabinet, in the past we used it to store our china. I figure it would be good storage for an office too.
I also have a cute little zebra print ottoman that I scored at Hobby Lobby that might work in the room.
Since I tend to go with a very neutral, subdued color palate (whites, cream, tan, grey, brown) in most of the rooms in my house, I wanted to do something fun and vibrant and a little funky in the office. Here are my inspiration images:

Elle Decor. How cool are those black doors?
Looove this rug!

We'll see how it turns out:)
