DIY {Personalized Gift Tags}

Since I have a love affair with paper and fonts, making personalized gift tags to go with each present is a fun thing for me to do while wrapping the Christmas gifts this year.  It’s been time consuming, so I just put in some SATC DVDs to keep me company!

I previously downloaded each font online, I think from dafont.com, then created a Word document with each recipient’s name.  (You can easily Google “free fonts” and find many online sites that offer free downloads.  Some of my favorite fonts are actually images like snowflakes in font LP Snowflakes.  On dafont’s website, you can also search specifically for Christmas fonts).

After printing the Word document (I used black ink since I was out of colored), I cut each name and placed it onto a gift tag I created with card stock or craft paper.  I kind of fell in love with this red and white baker’s twine and had fun incorporating it into the gift wrap.  The striped, brown gift wrap paper was found at Target.  A hole punch and circle sticker made an opening to affix the tags.

I think you’re getting the idea.  I’m the lone wrapper in my house, so there are a few more to do.

How’s it coming on your end?  Hopefully, things are winding down and you are savoring the days leading up to Christmas.  I’m looking forward to doing some baking in the next few days!
