Day of Love {Our Wedding}

A couple weeks ago, we went to a wedding that was held in the same venue where we got married almost three years ago.  The Parador, located in Houston’s museum district, is a former church and Texas landmark.  Built in 1928, it is said to marry Mediterranean style with Byzantine detail.  The place is so, so pretty inside.  The main area has a grand dome with great wooden detail.  It’s rustic and elegant at the same time- a characteristic I happen to love.

When I got home from the wedding we just attended, I browsed through some of our wedding photos and put together a little collage for you.

The photos were taken by K&C Photography, now defunct.

Our wedding was a black, white, and silver affair.  By now you know I like things classic and simple.  My bridesmaids agreed on a fitted mermaid style, strapless black dress with a silver sash that tied in the back.  My dress was similar in style but all blinged out with beaded detail.  All of us carried a bouquet of mixed white flowers and white flowers also adorned the tables and alter where we exchanged vows.  One of my best friends graciously gifted the flowers to us as our wedding present!  The adorable kiddos pictured above were our ring bearer and flower girl.

We had a funny moment when my husband-to-be couldn’t get the ring on my finger.

But at the end of the day, we were declared “Mr. & Mrs.”

This December will mark our 3 year wedding anniversary and we’re hoping to plan a short getaway, like 3 or 4 days.  Hmmmm . . . where to go??  We’ve tossed around New York (but we’ve been there twice together already, never in December though), or New Orleans (just a short flight from Houston).  Any ideas??  Where do you think is good to go in early December?
